Online Payments to a BECU Loan or Credit Card

Make payments to a BECU loan, credit card or line of credit in Online Banking. Pay with funds from a BECU deposit account or an account at another financial institution. You can make payments in the mobile app from a BECU deposit account, but not from an account at another financial institution.

Follow the steps below to make a one-time payment from a BECU deposit account to your BECU loan, credit card or line of credit account.

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Find BECU Payments and click Pay BECU Accounts.
  4. In the Pay this account dropdown, select the account that will receive the payment.
  5. In the With funds from dropdown, select the account you want to use to make the payment.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Click the radio button for the Type of payment (Regular Payment, Principal Only or Pay Balance).
  8. Enter the Payment Amount and click Continue.

Follow the steps below to set up recurring payments to be applied to your loan principal. Note: At this time, you can set up recurring payments from a BECU deposit account but not from an account at another financial institution.

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Find BECU Payments and click Pay BECU Accounts.
  4. In the Pay this account dropdown, select the account that will receive the payment.
  5. In the With funds from dropdown, select the account you want to use to make the payment.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Select the Principal Only radio button.
  8. In the Select subaccount dropdown, choose the account that will receive the recurring payment.

Follow the steps below to make a one-time payment directly to your BECU loan or credit card using funds from an external (non-BECU) account.

Adding an External Account

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Find BECU Payments and click Pay BECU Accounts.
  4. Select the loan or credit card account that will receive payments from the external account.
  5. Select Add External Account below Pay from.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the external financial institution you would like to add to set up the payment.

Making a Payment

After you've added the external account that you want to pay from, follow the steps below to complete the payment.

  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. Find BECU Payments and click Pay BECU Accounts.
  4. Click Select account below Pay from.
  5. Select the account you want to use from the list.
  6. Enter your Payment Amount, Payment Date and Additional Amount (if any).
  7. Click the Review Payment button.
  8. Read and certify the ACH Debit Authorization and Acknowledgement and Consent.
  9. Click the Submit Payment button.

Yes. Repeat the steps under Adding an external account for each additional external account you want to use for making payments in Online Banking.

You cannot make a mortgage payment from an external account in Online Banking at this time.

You cannot use a business (non-consumer) account to make a payment. You must use a personal account.

At this time, you can only use a BECU deposit account to set up recurring payments. You can use an account at another financial institution to make one-time payments.

Payments made from an account at another financial institution cannot be modified or cancelled in Online Banking. You'll need to contact that financial institution for support if there's a problem with the payment.

Loan payments will post to the account on the payment date selected. Payments submitted on a non-business day will be posted within one to three business days.

Note: Credit card payments that are submitted from external accounts before 3 p.m. Pacific Time will be processed and effective the same day.
